I was listening last night to a webinar and the speaker was talking about the characteristics of a business owner. Among the initial ones that he created was that you just needed to be a little insane. This is one that I will normally concur with. To have the will to be a true entrepreneur, you must want to accept a certain level of threat plus do what ever it requires to be successful.
Some might misinterpreted this nightmare as simply another kind of fear. Actually the fact is that they are different. Worry is a type of short lived of unexpected adrenaline rush arised from external environment. Business owner Nightmare is on the other hand, self enforced. It simply concerns you and there might be no great sleep in its world. It has its own smell and pain. And it just does not disappears as long you stay an entrepreneur.
Not for the "not my task" attitude type. When starting and becoming a business owner up an organisation, you are presuming all the dangers of business. Its up to you to fix it when something is not working out. There's no somebody else will do it. It's your task. It's your opportunity. You are the business owner. Can you do a job that is "not yours"? If not, then stick with the department you remain in now so you don't cross over the line.
Therefore, this is an advantage that I love. The business owner must bring the ideal talent onto his team. Otherwise, the company will not stand apart.
Are you horrified you're going to mess all of it up? Being an entrepreneur is scary things. Know what? You're going to make mistakes. You're goin to crash and burn. There's an exceptional opportunity you're going to fall on your face and need to select yourself back up once again. That's simply the way it works. If you can't hack that, don't step in the ring.
Not surprisingly, a business owner by meaning is a "Threat Taker" isn't it? They should hesitate of nothing at all, right? If you do not believe me, attempt this: When you met with some entrepreneur that you understand of, simply ask him "So how are you copping up with the Headache?" Check out his or her eyes, you'll see a warm expression like an old buddy reunite. They may smile, grin, or laugh out loud. They may even have tears in their eyes. One thing for sure, he article understands the point where you are coming from.
The qualities of a business owner are many. However the most essential ones are to be in control of your business and never get lost in it. Be a little crazy from time to time and constantly focus on the top of the mountain, not the ruts along the method.
